LumenRT U13 - Drive through skips ahead

Hello,

I create the traffic in CONNECT U13 and exported to LumeRT. In LumenRT I create a new movie clip set my time to be 40sec and attach a camera to a car.
When I play the animation everything is fine up to 24 seconds then it skips ahead about 10sec. I cannot get the drive through to cover the entire path, it seems to loop\skip at certain points.

Any thoughs appreciated,

Thanks

  • Hi Tom,

If there are any other clips in the movie editor they are included in the overall time of the main LumenRT movie. Even when you are viewing an individual clip!

Time in the movie editor is based on the main Movie Editor tab and all exported MicroStation animations begin at zero on the Movie Editor tab timeline. Exported MicroStation animations will run for the duration that was set in MicroStation and then repeat.

Each new Clip you create in LumenRT occupies a portion of the Main Movie Editor tab timeline. If you only have one Clip, it will be in sync with the Movie Editor Time. If you have more than one clip, the start time of each clip ( 0s ) is actually relative to the clips position on the MovieEditor tab timeline. This can be very confusing when you are trying to work with animations that have been exported from MicroStation.

To avoid issues with "clip time" being out of sync with the "main movie time" you can right click on each of the other clips and choose Hide Clip from Movie. This will make sure the clip starts at the same time as the exported MicroStation animation. You could also just move the desired clip to the first clip position on the main Movie Editor timeline.
