Grass render on OpenRoads exported terrain

I have exported a terrain model from Openroads into LumenRT for a project display. When I assign a grass material to the surface I get this:

When I zoom in the grass fills out a bit more but just around the edges of the patterns.

What is the reason that the grass doesn't render across the entire surface correctly and can it be fixed?

I am using LumenRT Connect Edition Update 11
