What is the best source/information to compare Microstation V8i Select Series 4 and Series 10? I use CAD for 3D Modelling, visualisations as well as basic drawing tool as a sole practitioner architect, practically no teamwork. Any further advice will be welcomed. I will have to choose soon between 4 and 10 soon.

I would highly recommend that you switch to MicroStation CONNECT Edition instead of Series 10. There are not any Visualization improvements in Select Series 4 or 10. There are on the other hand numerous improvement in CONNECT Edition and it is 64 bit vs. 32 bit in Select Series. For example CONNECT Edition Update 13 now includes support for Physically Based Rendering (PBR) materials.

As Jerry pointed out the ideal move would be to move over to CONNECT. In addition to the improvements he mentioned if you use MicroStation CONNECT you can take advantage of using LumenRT Designer at no cost to create quick rendering and animations.
