I have placed an Area Light expecting it to be invisible, placed at floor level pointing UP.however it seems to change itself into a black shape? but the light effect is active!
Hi Dario, The light I am seeing is coming through the windows... Are you sure this light is on? can you share the DGN.

Unfortunately it is normal behaviour in quick render display style. Area light is a plane, which is not transparent.
Two things that you could do: switch off construction lines from visibility.
Place the light on the separate level, and switch it off as well.
