I've just updated Microstation to update 16 and tried Vue Rendering for the first time.
Render a scene and it ticks away for about a minute then completely crashes out of Microstation. Have tried both quick and normal render and get the same result.
Where do i start to fix this?
TIA
Andrew
Hi Andrew,

VUE crash in different situation was discussed several times already (e.g. here or my discussion in Insiders forum).
My discussion ended with Defect #1132987 logged.

I think there is no simple fix.
I was not able to identify why exactly, using specific models, VUE crashes (and is fine with another). It can be caused by using Fur (VUE does not like it), corrupted geometry or by anything else (e.g. old RPC cells are not supported, but should not crash I guess).
I recommend to log Service Request and when possible, to share Exception log + Memory dump (but when MicroStation crashes this way, usually they are not created).

If you can send me your files which are causing an issue I will take a look.
Also what machine are you rendering on and does the issue occur for both path trace and raytrace.
Thanks
Paul
It seems that the bug is fixed in CE Update 16.1.
I tried to render the same model and MicroStation does not crash. Of course, new settings (and probably materials) are needed to produce similar results as with Luxology in the past, but at least, now the model is rendered and adaptation to VUE can start ;-)
