Hi,
All handles on this scene are the same but some of them are rendered as gray and some them are rendered as white. There was no material assignment/attachment on the handles. Then we assigned material, after then attached material but results are the same.
How can we solve this problem?
Kind regards,
Sedat AlisAEC Technology Inc.
Interesting, what are the handles geometry? Solids, surfaces and are the placed as cells and if so are they shared cells?

Smart Surface with a grouped hole.

Cabinets are cells and handles are cells inside cells. There is a named cell which describes handle's name. Inside this cell, there is another noname cell but it is made by MicroStation as grouped hole.
Handles are not shared cells.
Handle model is attached. By the way, model's size is extremely big (1.78 MB).

Compare the normals for the good and bad handles. They may be reversed, which can cause rendering issues.

I suspected normals but they look okay, I dropped the cell to look and where I expected to see a single solid was a bunch of Bspline surfaces. How was the model created? I know there were some normal issues that were fixed long ago and it seems you are on an older version of ABD, updating might solve issue. I do see something odd that I don't understand one of the surfaces does not appear to be illuminated correctly even though its normal is pointing in the right direction.
Cheers,
Hi Jerry,
When rendered with Luxology, the surface you mentioned appears to float above the rest. I noticed it has a material attached, Metal painted (Dark Grey), that includes displacement.
There are only 2 surfaces that have any material attached. The other surface has a Stainless steel material attached.

It is imported from STEP format.
Hi Sedat,
After dropping the handle you can select all its geometry with the selector tool and convert it to a mesh using Mesh from Element tool, this will be very efficient for rendering. Just remember to attach the correct material;-)
Once you have updated your cell with the updated handle part you can use the cell replace tool to easily replace the cells with the updated model.
