Hi. I have a custom-made material to render shadows on Photomatch renders. Thanks to this my 3D models can cast shadows on surfaces from a photograph. It works great with Luxology rendering but I cannot get it working with VUE. For some reason it ignores "Visible to eye" setting and renders the shadow catching elements.
Below are two renders of the same scene. Luxology on top and VUE below. The lamp post and road surface should not be visible on the botom render.
Hello Rafal,
It is a known Bug 807107: [Vue] Object still visible in rendering when 'Visible To Eye' is unchecked in expert column.
However the issue is related to Path Tracing and for Ray Tracing should work fine.
Try to render your scene with selected Ray Tracing method.

Thx for quick response. I understand this bug has not been fixed yet? I am on Update 8 because I need Luxology rendering.
I tried Ray Tracing but the material is ignored completely, shadows don't get rendered at all.
In what version did you test Ray Tracing ?
10.08.00.44
