I am beginning to learn how to do 3D modeling and rendering in Microstation. I am using V8i.

I have a DTM surface that I would like to drape a raster image onto. The image has a much larger area than the surface, does this matter

Re: Draping Raster on DTM

Hi Fabrice!

Your post was very helpful. Thank you very much!

Hello Christina,

If your image is georeferenced, you can use de "dcdrape" material :

In the raster manager, open the image and make sure that "draping" is on. Next, you creat an new palette and import the material "dcdrape" from the palette dcdrape.pal. Assign the material to the level of the shape. And the image is drapped !

hope this will help you,

And for the mesh you can use "mesh from element" or "mesh from contour" and you will have a single shape.

Regards,

Fabrice
