Hello,
I have a problem using clip volume on linear forms. See the attached PDF : standard Microstation extruded elements get clipped OK (using the cut plane settings), but linear forms are not (they appear as open on the cut plane). When the view is promoted (in BA), the clip is OK, but the material assignment disappears!! So both ways the result is not good. On page 2 of the PDF you can see an example from one of my projects: in SS1 all was OK !!I wonder if this is a bug or am I doing something wrong? TIA André
I have had just the same results Andre.
Hi Andre, Robert,
Could you send me the dgn file which is showing the problem and the parts .xml file which is been used for it.
Thanks
Pradnya
Pradnya, I posted the files : Testfile and Testpart to the files section of the forum.
It seems nobody has anything to comment on this?
Has any of you seen the same?
Thanks, André
Hi André,
To see the slices in your saved view in Bentley Architecture, you can do the following:
1. Turn on View Attributes->Clip Volume Settings->Cut, and either
2. Turn on materials in the parts for your forms, or
3. Promote the view.
If you don't do step 2 or 3, then recent releases of Bentley Architecture do not handle the draw of the forms, and you get what you would see in MicroStation.
This oversight is corrected and will be available in a future priority build of Bentley Architecture. Please contact Bentley TSG to make arrangements to receive this priority build.
Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention!
HTH,
David Assaf [Bentley]
