A few tips please!
Working on a project where I need a lot of 3D trees and other vegetation and import them as cells. The ones on Google Warehouse are ok for longer distances and overview renderings but I need some high polygon models for close-up renderings. I contacted TurboSquid but they only have a few files that can be translated into .skp format. Any suggestions where I might find high quality trees and vegetation as .skp?
Thanks!
/Dan
Hi Dan
Just to recall the High Res XFROG trees delivered with MS, they are just perfect for closeups.
They are installed in C:\ProgramData\Bentley\SharedContent
You may export them in SKP though I'm not sure of size/usalibity of resulting SKP.

Hi Vincent!
Thanks for a quick reply, however I cant seem to find that folder.
C:\ProgramFiles\Bently\ is fine, then there is nothing called SharedContent
Hi,
You have to go to Windows Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Options and on the second label you have to change to "see hidden folders and files".
Hope this helps.
Regards.

@Ivo, nice links thanks, especially frecle is really nice (while arbaro abondened if I undertood correctly)
@Dave, even if you might not see it, you may always type c:\programdata\ in the explorers headline and it will show you the complete content beyond (beside the hint from Jose)

Hi Dave,
As fellow stated, it should be installed by default with Microstation SS3.
To check if is is already installed, check if you have a program called "Visualization content" from Bentley Systems in installed programs.
Otherwise you may get these at SELECT download page, look for "Enhancements and updates",
one year back, and search for "Visualization" you will get:
Check the install directory at install time, and then attach cell librairies from these directories.
It is on my computer - now that I know where to look.
Thanks.
Ok, good.
They are really nice, hope they will be usefull.
Here are the sample renderings illustrating the libraries
Good visualizations !
These files are also available if you create a cell library and find them that way, if you cant find them because the direction is hidden. Ther are even available on the 30 day trial version of SS3.
