Today I did some tests with lights. Strange thing is that If I want to add volume effects in the testmodel, nothing happens. If I make a new model, and add some lights with volume effects however,it does work.
Does anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks in advance Louis
Maybe you don's see because you look on front and on the white wall ? ;)
Btw Louis can you send me this file - I want to have this light effects but never had. Or post me the setting
because looking very nice. Is there a "separator" in 3d model or something 3d that this light are so cool ?
Hi Martin,
I've mailed you the files.
Unfortunately the problem is not caused by the direction of the camera view. I tried several colors, and none of them where visible. A new file with an equal camera view remarkable does works.

If I recall this command correctly, don't you have accurately place a 'cylindrical volume' in the scene relative to where you want the volumetric lighting to occur? Check and make sure your 'volume' object is within the scene. You can't just globally apply this function to an entire model.
Hi John,
I´m afraid you mean something different.
What I tried to achieve are volumetric lights (lightbulbs, see attachement).
Thanks, Louis
Hi Louis
change the Height from 2mm -to 500 mm or wich distance your volumenligths you need
test it must work !

Hi Detlef,
Unfortunately it wasn't the solution. The units of the file are meters.
Thanks Louis
