Can anyone tell my why the object in the attached dgn does not glow? I have a glow material attached and did briefly get it to glow but now it won't an I can't work out why.
Thanks
Duncan
If you put a surface in there to pick up the glow that would help. Your flash was over 2700 lux turn the flash off and try again.
Cheers,
Jerry
Thanks Jerry
I've tried that and it doesn't make any difference. The object was part of a much larger file that had surfaces to pick up the glow. I noticed that when it works the illustration view turns the object white. When it's not working it stays grey even though a glow material is assigned
When we make the lxo of the scene to send to modo we reset the origin around modo's origin. Something about your test case is making this fall apart, that ring is far from our origin and we are not moving it on export to modo.... Not sure why yet but if you move the geometry near 0,0,0 it should glow as expected. Snap to the ring while in move command and key-in xy=0.
Did you by chance reset the Global Origin in your file?
This seems like it might be the answer. I need to test on the actual model which the creator has made way more complicated than necessary (30 odd refs), so it will take me a while to sort it out.. Will let you know if it worked.
Update: If I go back to my original model (not the copy I'm playing with) save a copy and move the GO I can get the glow to come on again. When I run effects manager it stops the glow working and I can't change the glow settings within effects manager and I can't get it working again in the model. Help!
