Hello,I need to render net fence as part of bigger project, but I want to use simple surface with attached material instead of 3D model of net. At the end I want to animate "flyover" so it is a matter of efficiency.I tried to use Displace for both sides of surface and Pattern for clipping holes but with no success.Could someone tell what do I do wrong? Or just show me with example. In attachment dgn with model of what I want to achieve and textures witch I used in my testings.Best regardsDaniel
Just use a fence texture with background transparency on, I made a wire fence material in your file and assigned to polygon. The material is in the net.dgn palatte.
Cheers,
Jerry

net.dgn
I have attached the pgn file that I've used as a material - I have used several and this one works as you can see in the example.
It shows on the screen in illustration mode and then renders as here beautifully

Here is an example I rendered awhile back using texture for fence.
