Great !!! Looks like a cross between the Effects Manager and Piranesi.
Hi All
I want to collect real world use cases for the kind of functionality that can be found in this product. I can then submit this internally to product management who can then give it due consideration. Since I work for Bentley Building sales team the use cases for me are very obvious. So I'm looking for use cases out side of "architecture and construction" and into the other professional disciplines such as oil and gas, civil engineering etc. I don't want to raise any expectations by this exercise, I am trying to gather material for an internal appraisal and assessment. it may take a while for anything to happen or it may not happen at all.
I would also like to solicit descriptions of how such functionality would fit into your workflows. Would you like to see this kind of thing on a mobile device for instance?
The more use cases with stronger real world justifications the better.
Some of the things to consider are:
What benefits would such a toolset bring to your business?
Would you be able to measure those benefits
Would you expect this to be "inside" MicroStation based products, or a cloud based scenario?
Would you pay for such functionality and if so how much
Would this stop you using other viz tools supplied by our competitors?
many thanks for any contributions

faster internal turnaround of some design decisions.
tool could potentially be put in the hands of non viz savvy Partners and Directors for decision making -colorway presenter like
cloud would be good
yes potentially- enterprise subscription (includes free individual part- like Office24/7- say a few hours/month)cost? dunno
No. I do not think that viz tools in Microstation are good enough to supplant use of tools like Max/Vray and similar. The engine is world class but the surrounding tools/UI are just not good enough. As a CAD package MS is fine in comparison to say Revit or Autocad but it does not compare to a dedicated viz package.
I see several:
First client review for a interior or any architectural project.
SPEED
Second is production where you are doing code related piping and the such
Something like this was available 20 something years ago in the IGDS
This would be a awesome way to render anything.
It is so much faster

I remember I stared in silent awe when I saw Integraph ModelView for the first time ;-)
