You'll be pleased to know that you can still verify and repair V8 design files in the event that there may be problems with the elements. Here's how.
Copy the offending design file to the folder that contains ustation.exe, this would typically be
To verify the elements in the file, open Command Prompt window and keyin: ustation.exe -verify filename.dgn
To verify and repair the file, keyin: ustation.exe -vrg filename.dgn
An Alert dialog will appear on your screen asking for your confirmation.
Upon completion of the verification/repair process, the file will display and the Message Center will be open showing any pertinent information.
From within MicroStation, keyin the following: mdl load verifydgn.
Once the application has been loaded, you can use either of these commands:
For verifying the file: verifydgn verify
For repairing a file: verifydgn repair
