Use element manipulation tool on references

The setting called called Treat Attachment as Element for Manipulation allows you to use the normal element manipulation tools on your references. You can toggle this switch as you attach the reference, or via the reference dialog.

You can also use the following keyin to activate this option:

REFERENCE SET TREATASELEMENT=[setting_spec] [file_spec]

Where setting_spec can be On or Off (or True or False), and  file_spec is the filename or logical name of the reference you want to change. You can put the wildcard character * in the file_spec to match multiple references.  For example, the following keyin will enable this option for all attached references: 

reference set treataselement=on *

 This setting can be found in MicroStation V8 XM Edition and newer.
