Now here's a slick VBA macro that calculates slopes, latitudes, and departures. A great addition to extend MicroStation's measuring tools.
With many thanks to Chuck Christiansen from the Maricopa County Flood Control District in Arizona for whipping up and sharing this VBA Macro! 225_Xme2d.zip contains a mvba project for MicroStation which may be useful to some users. It was written to supplement the measure distance command and it's limited output. Xme2D extracts and calculates horizontal and vertical distances, northing, easting, and elevation of the data points. It also calculates latitude and departure. And, as a bonus, there is also a button which opens the Microsoft Windows calculator. To run, load the VBA project, and keyin vba run m_Distance.Main. Take a look at the prompts and enter your first datapoint. Once this first point has been entered, you will be presented with the output form and be asked to enter a second point.
Enjoy!
