With thanks to Phil Chouinard for providing these files that will allow you to view simple DWG files in monochrome. Note, this workflow works fine in model space for the simple AutoCAD drawings, but doesn't have any effect on referenced elements.
Download 294.zipExtract monochromew.tbl to ...\Workspace\Standards\data\Edit your function key menu to include this keyin when SHIFT + F1 is executed:ct=monochromewORExtract funckey.mnu from the zip file and place in this folder...\Workspace\interfaces\Fkeys\Locate and open workmode.cfg and add this line:_USTN_CAPABILITY_DWG < +CAPABILITY_COLORTABLEOR add it to any configuration file "above" it.OR extract and copy workmode.cfg from the zip file and place in this folder...\Program\View\config\system\Open a DWG file in Bentley View or MicroStation V8 and press SHIFT + F1.The screen should now show the file in black and white.Re-opening the file with display it with the original color table.
