If you want to quickly locate graphic cells in a design, just use this slick little VBA from Rod Wing. Easy to use, does a great job and is a welcome addition to any production user!
Download 250.zip and extract findcell.mvba from the zip file. Place the mvba in the folder pointed to by MS_VBASEARCHDIRECTORIES. Keyin vba load findcell to load the project, or... Configure MS_VBAAUTOLOADPROJECTS to automatically load the mvba project upon startup. Keyin vba run [findcell]findcell to run the macro, or.... Place the keyin on a function key or custom button for quick and easy access.
Once loaded, enter the name of the cell you want to search for and let 'er rip. If you change the cell name or the Match Whole Name switch is enabled, it will restart the search at the beginning of the file. When the end of the file has been reached the dialog will even let you know how many cells were found! Note, this application will only locate instances of graphic cells, not shared cells.
