Here's a handy dandy macro that will locate the intersection of two circles for you. You can use this to draw swing ties or just create construction elements for additional drafting.
For example, suppose you want to locate the position of the red dots in the graphic below.
You could do the math yourself with the help of this page: http://local.wasp.uwa.edu.au/~pbourke/geometry/2circle/
Or just run the swing tie macro, enter the radius of the circles, define the centers and select which intersection point to keep. The macro will either place a point (zero-length line) or draw the swing ties. As always, when using this macro or any other tool, don't forget to read the prompts!
