Change symbology of extension lines
Normally all the extension lines in a dimension use the same extension line symbology as defined in your dimension style. However, by using the keyin: change dimension symbology standard you can tell one extension line to ignore it's symbology and to use that of the dimension line. The other keyin: change dimension symbology alternate tells the selected extension line to revert back to it's own symbology. Note that this will only work on dimensions that have thier symbology attributes defined in the dimension style. Try this: In the Dimension Styles dialog, set the extension line symbology to red. Set the dimension line symbology to green. Place a dimension string, notice the colour of the extension lines. Keyin change dimension symbology standard. Select one of the extension lines. It will change to the same colour as the dimension line. Keyin change dimension symbology alternate. Select the same extension line and watch it go back to it's own colour.
