Use saved views from references for navigating - Part 2

Matthew DeBeliso from City of San Diego Water & Sewer Design Division offers this awesome tip!

In Part 1 of this tip, you learned how you can activate (attach) saved views from a reference. You can further exploit this feature to set the XY location of your view when swapping in and out of models from within the same file. This eliminates the need for exchanging files via references and other third party applications. Note: The self-references must be attached coincidentally for this to work.

Anyway, sounds funky? Well, it is....take a look at the clip below and note what's happening.

Navigate to the Planimetry model to show it's contents.
Pop back into Default and attach the Planimetry via the keyin RF=_DGNDIR:,planimetry,,,*;reset
Window area to any old location
Create a saved view from that location via the keyin sv=name;selview 1
Note, the name can be anything you like and the clip shows the name now being used.
Set the Planimetrymodel as the active model and attach the saved view just created via vi=name, selview 1. Boom, you are taken immediatly to that specific XY location. Way Way Cool! And to make it even sweeter, stick sv=name;selview 1 and vi=name;selview 1 on a pair of function keys or custom buttons and this workflow will be nearly seamless.
