Create a Solid from a Mesh

      Product: MicroStation
      Version: 08.11.09.459
      Environment: N\A
      Area: Mesh
      Subarea: N\A

How to create a solid from a mesh element.

    Steps to Accomplish

    Option 1

    1. Extrude Mesh Volume
         • Go to: Tools > Mesh > Create Meshes > Extrude Mesh Volume
            or Key-in: FACET EXTRUDEVOLUME

    2. Convert to Solid
         • Go to: Tools > Solids > Solid Utilities > Convert to Solid
            or Key-in: CONVERT TO SOLID
            or Key-in: CONVERT BREP

    Option 2

    1. Thicken Mesh to Volume
         • Go to: Tools > Mesh > Create Meshes > Thicken Mesh to Volume
            or Key-in: FACET MODIFY ADDTHICKNESS

    2. Convert to Solid
         • Go to: Tools > Solids > Solid Utilities > Convert to Solid
            or Key-in: CONVERT TO SOLID
            or Key-in: CONVERT BREP

    Option 3

    1. Convert Mesh to Surface
         • Go to: Tools > Surfaces > Surface Utilities > Convert to Surface
            or Key-in: CONVERT TO SURFACE
            or Key-in: CONVERT BREP

    2. Solid by Thicken Surface
         • Go to: Tools > Solids > Create Solids > Solid by Thicken Surface
            or Key-in: CONSTRUCT THICKEN
         • Tool Settings: Uncheck Face Only
