Uncompressed files are not deleted

Problem Description

A number of DGN-uncompressed files were created when working on a DGN, and remain in the folder when reopening the DGN file.

Steps to Resolve

A *.dgn-compress file is created when the action "Compress Design" is started. It is normally a temporary file that is deleted after the compress has finished successfully.

Possible reasons that the uncompressed files are not deleted:

In a case that MicroStation crashed during a "Compress Design", it is possible that the *.dgn-compress is not being deleted.
Issue can occur if there is not full read/write access, or Administrator rights, to the folder that the dgn-compress files has been saved to.
DGN-uncompressed files can also appear when there is a problem with network speed and the compress process is not completed.
