    Shapes display as filled

      Product: MicroStation
      Version: V8i, V8i (SELECTseries)
      Environment: N\A
      Area: Graphics Display
      Subarea: Display Styles

    Problem Description

    Shapes, such as circles and rectangles, when drawn, always display with as filled, even when the option 'Fill Type' is set to 'None'

    Steps to Resolve

    The reason the shapes are showing up as filled is due to the type of Display Style being used in the view.  Change the Display Style (or View Display Mode) to Wireframe to show the shapes without a fill. To do this;

    1. Hold down (or click once) on the Display Style List icon from the View Controls along the top of the View Window
    2. Choose Wireframe from the drop down list
    3.  See the Image 1 below showing this

    or

    1. From Main Task bar, with Input set to Home Focus, press 4
    2. A View Control menu will pop up
    3. Choose View Display Mode > Display Mode Wireframe
    4. See Image 2 below
