Problem

How do you use wildcards in a MicroStation pen table to specify several reference file logical names?

 

Solution

In the "Modify Pen Table" menu, select "Files", then in the Reference Logical Name field, use a ".*" before or after the string you want to wildcard.
Examples:
.*gray.* - to find all reference files with the word "gray" in it
gray.* - to find all reference files beginning with the word
"gray"
.*gray - to find all reference files ending with the word "gray"
