Problem

How to prevent the Color Mode set in the print menu from being applied to raster images. By default, when you change Color Mode in the print dialog, the raster is set to the same color mode. However, there might be a situation where you want the entire file to print in Monochrome, yet have the raster images print in Color.

Solution

1) From the Print Menu in XM, select Settings>Preferences>under "Print Engine", uncheck "Apply Color Mode to Raster" box (ON by default)
2) From the Print Menu in V8i, select Settings>Print Attributes> uncheck "Apply Print Color Mode to Raster" box (checked by default)

Note: The following variable can be used for the same purpose:
If MS_PLT_APPLY_COLOR_MODE_TO_RASTER is set to '0', the print engine does not apply the color mode specified in the plot description to raster data. The default is '1'.
