    Problem

When exiting Microstation, getting "Norton Antivirus- Malicious script"
    error.
Receiving "Norton AntiVirus - Malicious script" error when exiting
    MicroStation V8.

    Product: MicroStation V8 2004 Edition
    Version: 08.05.00.64
Area: General, Problem ID#: 22662, ERRORMESSAGE

    Solution

Starting with MicroStation V8; version 08.05.01.25; exception log files
(exception.log and MiniDump.dmp) by default are now saved into separate
directories. For instance, if there has been 5 exceptions to date,
expect to see 5 directories under the ..MicroStationtemp directory. The
exception log files are stored in a convention of
    ..\MicroStation\temp\ExceptionHistory-N, where N would start with 1
(the most current exception log) advancing each older set of exception
log files to a newer directory that is higher in number up the last
(highest and oldest) exception log folder.

It should also be noted that the exception logging process executes an
admin customizable Windows script file (manageExceptionLogs.vbs) located
    in the MicroStation directory.

    Users have two options:

    1. Direct the user to temporarily set their Antivirus software to allow
the MicroStation manageExceptionLogs.vbs script and/or lower the
security setting related to scripts and macro execution.

    2. Set configuration variable MS_ProcessExceptionLog to contain nothing,
    or delete the variable.

In general this is not an optimal workflow and the al ternate approach
to temporarily or permanently disable MicroStation's new custom
debugging options by setting the MicroStation con figuration variable
MS_ProcessExceptionLog to contain nothing, or delete the variable. This
will force MicroStation to revert to the previous way of generating the
    exception log files.
