Problem

Need to Select all elements in design file by Color using Key-in rather than with the dialog.

Product: MicroStation
Version: V8i, CONNECT
Area: Selection Set, Search By Element Attributes

Solution

Open the Utilities - Key-in menu. Type in:

mdl load selectby
selectby color on
selectby color {color number}
selectby execute

For example "selectby color 3" will select all the elements of color 3.
