Out of memory exporting DGN with Solids to DWGWhen saving a design file with a lot of solids as DWG, MicroStationhangs with "out of memory (swap device may be full)" in text window.Product: MicroStation V8iVersion: 08.11.05.17Area: DWG
Try ACIS Entities, not Polyface MeshesThe out of memory may be caused by converting Solids and Surfaces toPolyface Meshes. To avoid this, you might want to convert all Solids toACIS Entities when saving to DWG:In the DWG Save As Options, under Entity Mapping in the General tab, choose "ACIS Entity (Body or 3D Solid)" for "Flat Solids and Surfaces"and "Curved Solids and Surfaces".For AutoCAD ACIS is generally a better choice, because AutoCAD islargely based on the ACIS engine.Note from solution set 14330: "[In MicroStation,] ACIS solids cannot beprocessed as cleanly as MicroStation native solids, also known as"ParaSolid". ACIS solids use up much more memory than ParaSolid solidsgenerally do. This could cause the Virtual Memory to be used upquickly."Problem/solution also valid for V8i
