Problem

When printing from MicroStation, the plot area is the sheet. How do I get the scale to be honored from the sheet? 

Solution

In the sheet model definition, be sure to use a paper size and not Custom. When using Custom, the print dialog will always maximize.  Define the desired sheet dimensions in sheetsizes.def and set this sheet size in the Sheet Model Proporties. On the printer Properties, make sure there is a matching form and that it is selected in the Advanced and General Printing Preferences. In the Print dialog, always use Full Size.

Note: When plotting to the HP drivers, define the sheet size as Custom 1. In sheetsizes.def, the form name will be Custom 1, no quotes or semi-colon is necessary.
