What options are available to make the tiff output file smaller? 

Solution

The only two options that you can modify to make the tiff output file smaller is size is the Compression Method and the Resolution. If you modify the tiff.pltcfg, the best compression method for monochrome tiffs is CCITTFAX4 and the best compression method for color tiffs is LZW.
