How to display a Google Earth image in colour?

Background

A captured Google Earth image is imported and displayed in MicroStation in black and white or monochrome, this is a Google Earth restriction.

Steps to Accomplish

1. Begin the capture procedure as normal - set up a Google Earth view displaying the required area
2. In a MicroStation 3D file/model, select Capture Google Earth Image (from menu Tools > Geographic)
3. Enter a data point in the MicroStation view window to capture current Google Earth view
4. Change the Display Style to see the capture, Smooth for example will show the image (in monochrome)
5. Return to Google Earth, and, without changing the view, go to File > Save > Save Image...
6. When saving, browse to the current folder location of the dgn file and overwrite the saved image (just created by capture)
7. Return to MicroStation, save the settings and save the file
8. Close and reopen the file - check if the image is displayed in colour
