How to restore the profile of an extruded Solid

      Product: MicroStation
      Version: 08.11.09.459, V8i, CONNECT Edition
      Environment: N\A
      Area: Solids
      Subarea: Legacy Solids

    Background

When creating a Solid by Extrusion, it is possible to tick the option “Keep Original”, to keep the original profile element in the model.

If this option was not chosen, after the solid has been created by extrusion, is it possible to restore the original profile?

    Steps to Accomplish

    Option 1: Extract Faces\Edges (Solids)

To extract the profile from an extruded solid, use “Extract Faces/Edges”

    Option 2: Drop Solids (Solids)

It is possible to drop the solid into either Surfaces or Wireframe

Option 3: Extract Profile (Feature Solids)

To extract the profile from an extruded Feature Solid, use Modify Profile”>“Extract Profile”
