Problem

Getting "unable to open DWG" message. Error occurs when opening any DWG file in MicroStation.

Solution

1. Verify that RealDWG is installed and listed in Control Panel>Programs and Features
2. Uninstall RealDWG
3. Go to C:\BentleyDownloads\MicroStation\folder and re-run the RealDWG.msi by double-clicking the file or downloading RealDWG from the Select Services website
4. If error continues to occur go to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ folder
5. Search for a file named AcSceneOE.dbxows\SysWOW64\ folder
6. If this file is present MicroStation will use this file instead of the same file in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Bentley\Shared\RealDWG2013
