    Problem

How to modify element command leaving linestring definition behind.

When performing the modify element command to change the endpoint of a complex string with multiple line / line string elements. If the endpoint is moved so that one of the lines is no longer needed the line / line string definition is left in the complex string with no vertices defined.

    Solution

This is working correctly as the vertex was only moved not deleted. So the two endpoints or vertices are on top of each other. The vertex will remain in the chain because of this. The delete vertex tool or the partial delete tool will remove the vertex.
