Problem

How to open a text file with MicroStation's V8 internal viewer.

Solution

Use the TYPE key-in

For example:

TYPE c:\functionkeys.txt

This will open the text file in a separate dialog box within MicroStation rather than having to use a text editor outside.

Note: This is only for viewing the contents of the text file, not a text editor.
