How to Generate tag reports
Tag Set and Report Template, Tag, Report1. Define a Tag Set with the desired fields. Element properties like area or level don't have to be included.
a. Menu Element - Tags - Define.b. Under Sets, click the Add button to create a new Tag Set.c. Add all the desired Tags to this Tag Set using the Add button under Tags.d. When done, close the Tags Sets dialog.
2. Define a Report Template using the previously defined Tag Set and the available extra info (in the list under Tags with a prefix).
a. Menu element - Tags - Generate Templates.b. Select the desired Tag Set.c. Type in a Report File Name (this is the name that will be used for generated reports).d. One by one, select Tags and extra info fields and click the Add button to add them to the report.e. Select the desired output format from the menu Format (Text or XML).f. Select whether to report on Tagged Elements or All Elements in the menu Report On.g. Save the template using menu File - Save (or Save As). The default location is usually a good choice, as this will be searched for templates when a report is generated.h. Close the Generate Templates dialog.
3. Add Tags to elements in the design.
a. Menu Tools - Text - Tags - Attach Tags.b. Select the desired Tag Set and turn on the Association option.c. One by one, selects elements, fill in values and confirm with OK.
a. Menu Element - Tags - Generate Reportsb. Select the previously defined template and click Done.c. The generated reports can be found in the configured outputdirectory. In a standard configuration this is the same directory as theone used for the templates.d. The Tag Report is generate as reportname.rpt to view the file in Excel change the file extension to reportname.csv
Note: Tags in Shared Cells will not work when generating Tag Reports. The Tag Report tool will only register the Tag Set from the first cell placed but not the following instances.Help: Composing Drawings, Tagging Elements, Reporting on Tags
