When placing cells in MicroStation V8 receiving error message, "Triforma has intentionally restricted placement and copying of this element". The Message Center states "This was done to maintain design integrity.Triforma must be present to place or copy this element".
This is because the cell was most likely created using TriForma. The problem is your cells have a Dependency Linkage with the TriForma AppID assigned to them. You can see what I am referring to if you place one of your cells in TriForma. Using element in formation tool in MicroStation select the cells and compare their AppID in the Attributes tab.
