Solution
You must save the file in the program on the left to the file format on the right in order for MicroStation to be able to import it.

SolidWorks -> XMT (Parasolid)
Unigraphics -> XMT (Parasolid)
Solid Edge -> XMT (Parasolid)
Mechanical Desktop -> SAT (ACIS)
CADKey -> SAT (ACIS)
Pro/E -> STeP (Solids)
Surfaces -> IGES
