V7 Workmode - Level Overrides to use a custom linestyle

      Applies To

      Product(s): MicroStation
      Version(s): 08.05.02.27
      Environment:  N\A
      Area:  Levels
      Subarea:  Level Display
Original Author: Bentley Technical Support Group

    Problem

V7 Workmode - When setting Level Overrides to use a custom
linestyle the setting is lost when the MicroStation V7 file is
    reopened in MicroStation V8.

    Product: MicroStation V8 2004 Edition
    Version: 08.05.02.27
    Area: Levels

    Solution

In MicroStation V7, it was only possible to use 1 to 7 IGDS
linestyles as an override for Level Symbology. There were
several Change Requests filed requesting the ability to use
custom linestyles. Those Change Requests were resolved
for MicroStation V8. However, in MicroStation V7 Workmode
the restriction still applies and custom linestyles can only
be used per session. Once the V7 file is reopened the
Overrides will change to style 0.
