MDL abort in MGDSHOOKProduct: MicroStation JVersion: 07.01.00.62Area: Programming
The error message MDL abort in MGDSHOOK is a very general error that occurs when something happens that the concerning MDL application can not handle, e.g. when an integer is expected on the position of a character, or something written to non allocated memory . A possible reason can be a long path name (in MS J this error has been solved). Other causes can be a corrupt DGN file, a corrupt seed file, a corrupt UPF file etc.
I therefore ask you to check whether the problem:- is it a file dependent (doe s it also occurs with a file delivered with MicroStation),- is it workspace dependent (does it also occurs with workspace delivered with MicroStation that has not been modified, e.g. with the "untitled" workspace),- still occurs when the used UPF file is deleted,- still occurs when the DGN files has checked (ands repaired) with EdG,- still occurs with files and the used software and workspace is on a local drive.
