Disable real world lighting. If real world lighting is on, lights are automatically attenuated. When using global lights it is common to turn the brightness slider low because of the normally high intensity of the solar light. This causes the source light to lower the overall intensity and not appear to shine on the nearby environment since the attenuation is reduced. If real world lighting is disabled in the settings dialog for the render mode (Ray Trace, Radiosity or Particle Trace) it will not auto attenuate the source lights in the scene.Note:Disabling Real World lighting may not be desired as it will affect the overall lighting of the scene.
