What is Color Depth & what does Warning Message indicate?Color Depth or Color quality is a system setting that controls the screen resolutions & its ability to display the true color of each program. The Warning or Information dialog is to notify you that your current setting for the color depth is not sufficient to display the true color set in the design file. The 'Do Not display again' option can be selected to ignore or by-pass this for future drawings. By toggling this option ON, this setting will be recorded in the User Preference file.Check the following scenarios in order:Color Depth Setting:Start> Settings> Control Panel> Display> Select the Settings Tab> set Color quality to Highest (32-bit)Select Apply & OK.Color Depth Override:i.e. NetMeeting & other Remote Desktop programs share the programs at a 16-bit color depth. The workstation may have the Color Quality set to Highest (32-bit) display depth, however when NetMeeting has been Enabled the original settings will be overridden to the 16-bit color depth. Inturn MicroStation will display the Warning Message.
