How do I insert symbols when placing text?
The Symbols dialog, available by clicking on the Insert Symbol icon in the Word Processor, allows you to insert symbols specifically related to the font being used into the Word Processor.
While in the Word Processor text editor if you click on the drop-down menu next to the Insert Symbol icon
Instead of clicking on the drop-down menu, if you select the actual Insert Symbol icon the below Symbols dialog is displayed. This will show all of the Symbols available from the selected font previously shown in the Word Processor text editor. In this case it is the RSC type ENGINEERING font.
After you select the Symbol you would like the Insert button will be available. Once selected the symbol will be added into the Word Processor text editor.
After you have selected the Symbol you require you should also see the Add To Favorites button. If this is selected another dialog box will open asking you to add your own description for this symbol. Once the Add button has been selected the drop-down menu, from Option One, will display this selection and be available for future use.
