Problem

When I double click the text to edit it, only a little 'Edit Text' dialog opens, but there are no tools to edit text.

Solution

For some reason your Text Editor is behind other windows and is not visible. Window List can be used to bring a window to the front or into view if it is hidden. In Windows, it is also used to restore a window if it has been minimized (to an icon).

You can open this dialog from the following:

Ribbon: Drawing > Home > Primary > More split button
Ribbon: Modeling > Home > Primary > More split button
Ribbon: Visualization > Home > Primary > More split button
Ribbon: Admin > Home > Primary > More split button
Double clicking the little square at the bottom of the view:

From the Window List select Text Editor and click OK

Text Editor gets active and you are able to edit the text.
