Inside MicroStation is one of the first introductory user guides published by a third party to enter the book market. Published in 1989, it has gone on to sell more than 50,000 copies over its 19 years in print. The book started out life as an idea for a book about MicroStation Macintosh by Frank Conforti, the author of the book but quickly expanded in scope to cover all versions of MicroStation.
