How to select all Orphan cells within a Model
When creating a Group from elements in a design, it creates an ' Orphan cell ' ( A cell with no name ).
The Explore's Advanced Search capabilities can be used to identify and select them if required.
From the Explorer dialog open the Advanced Search and expand the File section
On the Advanced Search dialog, Search For: Cells
On the Advanced Search dialog, select 'Cell Name' and 'equal to', but rather than entering a name for the Cell instead leave this field blank and select 'Add to Search'.
Check the Search Summary and select 'OK'
At this point the 'Cells Search Results (#)' is added to the bottom of the Explorer File section and is Highlighted ( Selected ) showing the total number of Orphan Cells found. In addition the Orphan cells are shown selected in the View.
The 'Cells Search Results (#)' can also be expanded to show the selected Orphan cells and by selecting the heading ' Cell ' will select that particular Orphan cell in the View should you wish to locate. Select 'Cells Search Results (#)' again will select all the Orphan cells.
