Overview

Bentley Systems, Incorporated has recently become aware of an issue with MicroStation V8i, v08.11.05.17, with regards to behavior while in DWG Workmode while changing display of a level that has an associated reference attachment.

When attaching a reference in DWG Workmode, a level has to be chosen for the reference to be associated to...

Current behavior - In MicroStation, if this level is turned off by any means (Global Display, Global Freeze and/or View Display), the display of the entire reference is disabled.

Desired/Correct behavior - In MicroStation, if this level is turned off by Global Freeze ONLY, the display of the entire reference is disabled.

What to do

This issue has been identified will be corrected in the next release of MicroStation V8i. In the meantime, if the current behavior is causing a problem with workflow or is not acceptable until the release with the correction is available, please contact Bentley Technical Support via the Service Ticket Manager for further action.
