The following article describes a method of replacing Parametric Cells within a design with modified Cell Library Parametric Cells 

Background

Having modified a Parametric Cell within a Cell Library it may be necessary to update existing Parametric Cells placed within a dgn file.

Steps to Accomplish

1. Open the Design file containing the Parametric Cells to be updated

2. Open the Cell Library dialog and attach the Cell Library containing the modified Parametric Cell

3. Scroll through the list of Cells in the Cell Library dialog and select the Modified Parametric Cell. Right mouse click on the Parametric Cell within this dialog and select 'Update Cell Definition'
